Under general direction, the Section 504 School Level Coordinator/Hospital Homebound Liaison is a highly qualified, state certified educator responsible for ensuring students with disabilities, identified by Section 504 and students identified as required HHB services, are receiving specific and individualized course content based on their 504 plan or ESP plan, in an online environment. Coordinators provide support and guidance to school-level staff and help manage the learning process by focusing on students’ individual needs.
SUMMARY The School Social worker assists families in situations of crisis, abuse and neglect, in addition to supporting other areas of social-emotional needs effecting academics. The position responds to issues directly, through facilitating meetings and/or by coordinating services with outside parties such as Child Protective Services (CPS), the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), and other community-based organizations.

SUMMARY: The Family Success Liaison will provide a range of services to students and their family to build capacity within the family to assist in the student’s education at Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA).
