Cohort of Students Honored With U.S. Presidential Scholar Recognition

This week, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced the 59th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, recognizing 161 high school seniors “for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.” Ten of the Presidential Scholars recognized with this esteemed, high honor are public charter school students.

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools will celebrate the annual National Charter Schools Week (NCSW) from May 7-13, 2023 to honor the 7,700 public charter schools, 206,000 dedicated teachers, and hundreds of lawmakers who serve and advocate for more than 3.7 million students each day.
