NYC Special Education Collaborative

Founded in 2011, the NYC Special Education Collaborative is a city-wide, membership organization committed to supporting quality education programs for students with disabilities in charter schools. A result of the merger between four independent borough-based special education co-operatives originally organized by the New York City Charter School Center, the Collaborative currently serves more than 150 of NYC’s charter schools.

We provide program supports, conferences, staff training, teacher recruitment and instructional resources to schools to help them build and maintain programs to serve diverse student population. We empower schools to develop world-class special education programs.
