Primary Role:
The ideal candidate will organize an instructional environment which helps Exceptional Children (EC) learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
North Carolina teaching license in special education (current)
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Uses a variety of assessment data throughout the year to evaluate progress
Establishes a safe environment that empowers EC students
Works collaboratively with school personnel to create a professional learning community
May assist in determining school budget and professional development
Collaborates with colleagues to mentor and support teachers
Advocates for positive change in policies and practices affecting student learning
Participates in the implementation of initiatives to improve education
Improves communication and collaboration between the school and the home and community
Promotes trust and understanding and builds partnerships with the school community
Teachers integrate and utilize technology in their instruction
Responsible for the development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for Exceptional Children (EC)
Salary Range $48,872.00 - $58,834.00 / Per Year
