Operations Director

Operations management is integral to the organization's mission. A successful Director will be willing to efficiently and effectively manage the operations to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, as means to close the opportunity gap for students. The Operations Director will lead and manage all operational functions. These functions include human resources, finance, IT and facilities. The Operations Director will be a liaison to manage the stakeholder relationships with external regulatory agencies. A major responsibility is collaboration with these agencies to ensure school compliance. The Operations Director will sit as a vital member of the senior leadership team and will report to the Executive Director.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Lead, develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s strategy.
Offer strategic recommendations for implementation of organizational expansion goals.
Hold institutional relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Develop, implement, and oversee talent strategies for academic and nonacademic staff.
Be point of contact for employee benefits vendors and providers.
Offer strategic support on employee benefits programming to the Executive Director.
Supervisor and evaluate direct reports including coordinators and associates.
Develop purchasing processes and procure leasing materials.
Prepare purchasing proposals and bid requests.
Oversee purchase for IT system software that meets the needs of the organization.
Maintain inventory and other reporting to share with agencies.
Lead the communication of all correspondence across various platforms.
Oversee the planning for facilities and maintenance.
Supervise the food service function.

Skills & Experience Required:

Prior experience working with charter schools preferred.
Proven track record of results leading schools or school networks.
Knowledge of the charter school development and start-up process required.…
