SUMMARY: The Elementary School Lead Teacher oversees the implementation of grade-level operations, processes and policies, working in conjunction with school and district level departments.

Lead Teachers Roles:
Teach a minimum of 2 classes and a maximum of 3 classes as assigned 5 days a week each semester.
Complete classroom teaching duties and assignments each semester
Maintains accurate and confidential student records
Review/Monitor student achievement through data driven instruction process
Ensures accuracy of instructional level identifications and updates them per the engagement policy
Review/Monitor content that student is learning aligns with curriculum maps provided by the district
Assist and monitor department chair with planning and preparing teacher-created formative assessments (Quizzes, Unit Test, projects, etc.) in compliance with direction from the Curriculum Coordinators
Ensures school programs are used effectively by teachers to maximize student achievement
Complete five (minimum) teacher observations per week for feedback only (formal and informal)
Observes and provides timely feedback to teachers
Assist teachers in developing best instructional practices
Monitor teacher promptness, attendance, and participation at meetings
Monitor teacher grading for completion, accuracy, and timeliness
Monitor teacher lesson plans/pacing guides for completion, accuracy, and timeliness
Monitor teacher completion, accuracy, and timeliness of daily tasks (scheduling, contact log, teaching classes)
Monitor that teachers’ complete trainings/webinars/professional development as assigned
Ensures teachers build relationships with every student (individualized learning plans, documentation, etc.)
Ensures teachers are completing academic review board documentation in a timely manner
Ensure that teachers accurately and completely document communications with parents/students/LCs in IC
Create and export ad hoc reports as needed
Continuous parent/LC communication (email, Canvas, OneCall, Jigsaw Chat, Zoom Conferencing, telephone)
Accurately and completely document communications with parents/students/LCs in IC
Address parent, teacher, and other stakeholder concerns within 24 hours
Provide academic support plans, follow-up support, and open offices for ARB probation families
Maintain documents to assist teachers with organization, processes, and procedures (IC grade list for each content, important links/docs, teacher checklist)
Positively support all school initiatives
Comply with best practices in communication
Be courteous and professional in all communications
Meetings and Outings Roles:
Attends school required outings.
Attends and/or leads Parent Universities as needed.
Attends all Meetings (leadership, data drive instruction, staff, department, PLC, 1:1, etc.) as required.
Attends all Virtual Meetings/Trainings/Webinars as required (live on camera with face fully visible and focusedon content).
Attends all In-Person Professional Development as required.
Attends all Virtual Professional Development as required (live on camera with face fully visible and focused on professional development content).
Attends all conferences as required.
Hosts meetings as needed.
Participates in planning committees.
Attend and serve as LEA at assigned IEP meetings per presented schedule.
Serves in absence of teachers for meetings (504, IEP, SST, PLC as content chair) as needed.
Attends face to face IEPs as needed.
Acts as emergency substitute teacher for team.

Develop teacher leaders.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides leadership for 10–15 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include providing additional training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree;
A minimum of three years successful virtual teaching experience and/or a minimum of three years educational leadership experience;
Experience working with data from various types of student assessments including data analysis, interpretation, and display;
Possess strong communication, organizational, analytical, and written skills;
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Ability to interact positively with teachers, administrators, and support staff;
Certificates and Licenses: Appropriate GA state teaching certification
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Advance Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
Ability to travel 25% of the time
Ability to pass required background check
Leadership degree or endorsement
Proficient/Advanced knowledge of Infinite Campus

This is a home-based position that will require travel 25% of the time
