Alanna Klein is the senior manager of media strategy for the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. She manages public relations and media strategy for the National Alliance and supports state and federal partners in their public relations needs.
Previously, Alanna led communications strategy for Green Dot Public Schools, a national charter school management operator with 25 schools in California, Tennessee, and Texas. Before switching into the nonprofit sector, Alanna did public relations for technology start-ups Kernel and Oura Ring, as well as for venture capital firm OS Fund. She started her career at William Morris Endeavor in scripted television.
Alanna is the communications chair for Foster Nation, a volunteer-led non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of the foster care system and support youth transitioning out of the system.
She grew up in Los Angeles where she still lives with her rescue dog, Remy, and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in History of Art and French.
