Lowcountry Leadership Charter School Administrator
Lowcountry Leadership Charter (LLCS) seeks a dynamic instructional, operational and strategic leader for our next phase of growth, rigor and student achievement. We seek a leader with strong management and leadership skills and experience building highly functioning teams. An ideal candidate will show proven success in attaining rigorous academic goals for all students and is committed to our mission and charter and dedicated to developing leaders through project based experiences.
Lowcountry Leadership Charter School (LLCS) opened in 2013 and we are now serving approximately 520 students in grades K-12th. LLCS is sponsored by the SC Public Charter School District and is centrally located in Hollywood, SC – a rural town in Charleston County.
The school leader serves as the primary individual responsible for leading a successful education program. A successful for this position will possess the following experiences, skills and qualities:
•Embody, advocate for, and execute on the mission, vision and strategic direction of the LLCS;
•Ability to lead highly energized teams characterized by honest and open communication, mutual respect and a commitment to the organization;
•Ability to creatively problem solve and manage change in order to be responsive to community needs;
•Highly qualified in the area of high school administration with experience in college/career readiness and requirements;
•Ability to reach out to the community and school district about our model, and develop support systems;
•Ability to establish and maintain rapport with the community, students, families, and staff; and foster school business partnerships;
•Ability to direct the institutional focus on student achievement with a school culture that maintains a relentless focus on motivating students to achieve academic results and encouraging collaboration to meet the full range of student needs while carrying out the mission of LLCS;
•Ability to adhere to effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school, consistent with the mission and goals of the school. To include the management of: instructional programs, extracurricular activities, proper building maintenance, emergency procedures and discipline systems that ensure a safe and orderly climate;
•Ability to facilitate teacher leadership for professional development, staff/teacher meetings, and instructional planning meetings;
•Ability to monitor and analyze student performance data and prepare reports;
•Experience or knowledge of school programs including Project-Based Learning and PBIS
The School Leader will be not only well educated, but also able to demonstrate work experience where they effectively led staff and were entrepreneurial.
•Education – Masters in Secondary Educational Leadership or Administration
•3+ years of Teaching Experience
•3+ years of experience in Administration
