Description

Cesar Chavez Community School, a 9-12 charter school serving 200 at-risk students, specializes in high levels of support, flexible scheduling, parent engagement, credit recovery and job/career readiness. The successful candidate will begin in June or July, work with the current Executive Director for SY 14/15, and become eligible to succeed the Executive Director upon her retirement. The school team seeks an innovative and energetic individual to provide mission-focused leadership for all programs and activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with staff in establishing instructional practices and curricula that are demanding, relevant and accessible for at-risk students; coordinate hiring, supervising and evaluating staff; monitor the budget process; oversee program and reporting requirements and deadlines; and serve as a visible, articulate and strong presence in maintaining a structured, supportive and welcoming school environment.
