About the Role:

Reporting to the ES Principal, the Lead Teacher will be paired with a Resident Teacher to support the Resident Teacher’s development and be the lead in a co-taught a classroom. The co-teaching model is designed to give both the Resident and Lead Teachers the full experience of leading a classroom.

keep the academic and personal success of our students as a core focus, while striving to grow professionally and support a positive school community.

As Lead Teacher, you will engage in:

Curriculum planning, execution and revision in a co-taught classroom
Gradual release of responsibilities to Resident Teacher to culminate in equal distribution of duties
Long term curriculum classroom management and lesson plans

About You:

A minimum of master’s degree
NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education
2+ years of teaching experience
