Kim McCabe

Manager, Advocacy

Kim McCabe is the federal policy and government relations coordinator for the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. Previously, Kim worked at Americans for the Arts, coordinating its state arts action network and online action center program. Additionally, she produced external communications for the government affairs team, including newsletters, blog posts, articles, and web content. Kim began her career working in early childhood education policy at Child Care Aware of America, designing and managing the organization’s parent advocacy program. She educated grassroots advocates about the political process, working with the media and building coalitions to provide a network of empowered parents with the skills to advocate for safe, quality early learning opportunities for their children. Her current work at the National Alliance builds on the belief that parents should be equipped and able to make choices about their children’s education and that they should have quality options to choose from. Kim grew up in Rochester, NY, and moved to Washington, D.C., to attend American University, where she received a bachelor of arts in art history. She enjoys spending her free time cooking, running, and volunteering with the Junior League of Washington.
