You Might Want To Go To Thurgood Marshall, Too....

One could not help but be moved at this morning’s commencement for the 2008 class of the Thurgood Marshall Academy Public Charter School at THEARC on Mississippi Ave. in Washington DC. Shortly after 10.am. striding to the stage to the sound of Pomp and Circumstance came the faculty and 45 proud seniors.

We've had quite a week in the news! Newsweek rated MATCH one of the top high schools in the USA. With that said, they use a very narrow definition: the number of Advanced Placement courses taken by students. A link to the Newsweek story is below, as is our response.

It was a good day for charter schools in New Jersey. NJCPSA’s most pressing concern – the fiscal future for charter public schools in New Jersey – took a turn for the better on Monday night after the state Senate and General Assembly narrowly voted to approve a new school funding formula bill.
